Carbon Markets · Carbon Project Development
From project concept to registry submission.
End-to-end support for carbon project design — methodology selection, baseline study, PDD preparation, and registry submission under VCS, Gold Standard, and Article 6.
The groundwork for credits the market will accept.
Carbon project development is the most consequential phase of the credit lifecycle. The methodology, baseline, additionality argument, and monitoring plan established at the design stage determine whether the project will pass validation, generate the expected credit volumes, and retain buyer confidence through the life of the project.
EDAT works with project developers, host governments, and private landowners to design projects that are technically sound, standard-compliant, and validation-ready from the outset. We do not offer consulting on projects we then validate — where both services are required, we structure the engagement to preserve our independence at the validation stage.
Standards & Frameworks Applied
Why this matters
Validation-Ready Design
Projects designed to meet the technical and procedural requirements of the applicable crediting standard from day one.
Methodology Selection
Identification and applicability analysis of the most appropriate IPCC, VCS, or Gold Standard methodology for your project type and context.
Credible Baseline
Conservative, defensible baseline quantification that will withstand independent validation review and registry scrutiny.
Registry Navigation
Guidance on registry selection, submission procedures, and ongoing reporting requirements for your target standard.
How the engagement works
Feasibility & Scoping
Project concept review, methodology identification, eligibility assessment, and preliminary credit volume estimation.
PDD Development
Full project design document preparation — baseline study, additionality demonstration, monitoring plan, and stakeholder consultation documentation.
Validation Support
Preparation of the project for third-party validation — document package review, clarification response support, and registry submission guidance.
